Its tolerable for now but I'm starting to lose my patience with Adobe in regards to LR Classic. If it gets much worse, I may have to go back to using just Bridge+PS (or use C1 as it doesn't seem to bog the computer down during importing). The random errors I get (mainly when deleting files from the catalog) I can live with, but the speed of LR has gotten so much worse over time, despite them adding new features to LR. It's not a huge deal as i can go watch a TV show while doing large batches of image importing into LR but I wish for the $10 per month everyone pays them, they could address the speed issues.

EVen on a decently equipped Dell XPS laptop it seems slow (but this is only the import process, which seems to render the computer useless for multi-tasking while LR is importing). The most recent one released a few weeks ago has gotten really slow IMO. The price, for me at least, isn't a big deal, but it's more that the fact that LR has slowed down over the past few updates.
